Screen printing is ideal for large production runs, suited for artwork with fewer colours and specific shades. Each colour in the design requires a separate screen, resulting in lower printing costs for fewer colours. For coloured or dark garments, an under base layer is essential to achieve a bright and vibrant print. Setup costs for screens are spread across the total number of garments ordered, making screen printing most cost-effective for bulk orders. The more garments you order, the lower the cost per unit.

Artwork File Types
PDF files are ideal for screen printing because they can be resized without losing quality. The design and any text in the design, must be expanded to outlines so that the artwork is usable for screen printing. Preferred formats include Adobe Illustrator Files (.ai) and vector files saved as .pdf or .eps (with expanded outlines for both artwork and text).

We cannot accept, jpegs, pngs or microsft word doc files, because they do not have enough information saved within them to screen print from.

Print Size
The maximum printable area is determined by the screen size, and in our case, it is 280mm x 320mm. If printing a garment with a size range, you will need to consider the smallest garment in the order to ensure this works for all sizes.

Colour Matching
If you would like a specific colour to be used in your artwork, we use the Solid Coated Pantone Colour Guide to assure accuracy. If a Pantone colour has not been specified for your artwork you can either choose to pick colours from this online swatch , or we can match for you as close to the artwork on the computer screen. It is important to note that Pantone Colours will vary from monitor to swatch book to the mixed ink. We accommodate a tolerance of 5% variance from the swatch book.
